FAQs

  1. What are family support services?

Family support services are community-based services assisting and supporting parents in their role as caregivers. These services promote parental competence and healthy child development by helping parents enhance their strengths and resolve problems leading to child maltreatment, developmental delays and family disruption.

  2. How do you get funded?

All of our services are free to the community.  Therefore, we rely heavily on donations, fundraising events, grants and contracts with foundations, corporations and the government.

  3. How many people do you serve in a year?

On average, we serve approximately 3,400 new people each year and 6,000 returning people each year.

  4. Who can receive help from the Saliba Center?

Anyone within the Wiregrass community who asks for assistance.

  5. Is it true you only serve children?

No, we serve adults and children.

  6. I’d like to come to the Saliba Center for family support services. How do I make an appointment?

Please call the Saliba Center for Families during our business hours. The receptionist will take some basic referral information, and a Program Coordinator will return your call. In circumstances where language is a consideration, someone other than the Program Coordinator may call you in your preferred language.

  7. What is the cost for your programs and services?

All of our family support groups are provided at no cost.
